The innovation of franchising.

Written by Peter Cronin | 18-Apr-2024 07:00:00

On the 12th of April, I had the pleasure of stepping into the vibrant world of franchised businesses at The International Franchise Show at ExCeL London.

The second year I've attended, it's an exhibition like no other, a bustling hub where innovative concepts and entrepreneurial spirits converged under one roof. Buzzing!

The air was electric with opportunity as I meandered amongst attendees through the rows of stands, networking areas and keynote theatres, each representing or sponsored by a unique brand.

My journey began with Miramira Jewelry, a kaleidoscope of sparkling gems from a brand that originates in Spain. Their jewels are great quality, at an incomparable price, and apparently always crafted with real passion.

Next, I was drawn to the irresistible images and branding from BAGELSTEIN, a haven for bagel enthusiasts. Pictures of their delectable range of fillings, from the classic to the avant-garde, showcased their artistry in fast-casual dining. It was a bite of New York culture, served with a Parisian twist. I'd be happy to see them on any UK High Street Élodie MOREL.

Clarity Homecare caught my attention with its compassionate vision for in-home care. Their commitment to providing heartfelt support to those in need was both humbling and inspiring, a franchise with a heart.

I then encountered Apollo Blinds, casting a new light on interior design with their stylish and innovative window treatment solutions, followed by the raw, edgy vibe of Black Sheep Coffee, and the wonderful aroma of roast beans which was like a shot of espresso to my senses. They're redefining the coffee shop experience with their unique brand of 'leave the herd behind'. I've seen these popping up across the country. I'm loving that brand!

Sweet indulgence was next on the agenda with Heavenly Desserts UK. Their stand was a tribute to the art of dessert, where elegance met indulgence. I recognised them from the hashtag#Watford franchise. Nice to chat to Sophie Page!

DONER SHACK in contrast, reinvented fast food with a gourmet twist on the classic kebab. Strong brand!

KAYAKOMAT by Point 65 Sweden presented a self-service kayak rental system that promised adventure with convenience. Love this idea!

While Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center's engaging approach to education offered a glimpse into the future of learning.

Tezlom®, with its bespoke staffing solutions, stood out for its commitment to the healthcare sector, and The Creation Station sparkled with creativity, an ideal franchise for fostering art and imagination. Love that!

Lastly, Treatz Desserts was the cherry on top, presenting a franchise model as sweet as their confections. Again in #watford

Successful franchises show how vital a strong, consistent brand is in the ecosystem of franchising. The fusion of a forward-thinking entrepreneurs vision with the robust brand framework of the franchise model is right up my street. I love the opportunity, the innovation & enthusiasm that abounds in #franchise.
