Join the Dots. A High Street Positives Webinar.

Great minds have been coming together this week.

It started with a brilliant BBC article on high streets, with commentary from Iain Nicholson, Founder of The Vacant Shops Academy, highlighting Aberdeen’s ambitious turnaround plan and what other places could learn from it.

Then came some valuable conversations at the The Labour Party Conference, ahead of this month’s Budget, around giving places more power to shape their own future.

And today at 10am, fanfare please, it culminates in HighStreetPositives – Joining the Dots Webinar: The People Behind the High Street.

The Customer Journey at Local Level.

A guide to generating more balanced and sustainable results from your marketing.

Hands holding Guide on The Customer Journey at Local Level

Different stories, from different parts of the country, but they all highlight the same underlying point.

High streets don’t get fixed by one organisation.

In Aberdeen, landlords, letting agents, the council, businesses, volunteers and the local community are working together, even getting down to the level of individual empty units and understanding what is stopping them coming back into use.

It’s vital that they do.

Because our high streets are shaped by lots of different people, often with very different priorities.

Which is why today’s webinar feels so timely.

At We Are Acuity, we care a lot about the future of our high streets, and this month we’ve been working with Laura Harris to develop the look and feel for Joining the Dots, an important webinar series for HighStreetPositives.

But the hard work has been Laura Harris’s, bringing together another cracking mix of people from across the high street to continue this conversation.

How do we get the people who influence our towns and cities talking, understanding each other and pulling in the same direction?

Local thinking. Our blog.

Four takes. One email.

If you work in, around or simply care about the future of our high streets, you should check out High Street Positives.

Because the challenge isn’t finding another big idea for the high street. It’s joining up the people who are already trying to make it better.

Let's talk.
