Happy Birthday!

Last Wednesday we had the pleasure of attending the 9th Birthday celebrations of Goods For Good and met up with both old and new friends.

We Are Acuity first became aware of Goods for Good at the beginning of 2022 when we were looking to support a local charity. When we found them, we knew they were exactly the right match. Supporting them felt like a perfect fit for two main reasons.

Firstly, we loved the AMAZING work they do in providing essential items to those desperately in need and secondly because they are local and based in Watford like ourselves. As everything we do at We are Acuity is centered around supporting local businesses, it was a match made in heaven!

Goods for Good was founded in 2014 by Rosalind Bluestone. The aim of the charity was to bridge the gap between those that have too much and those who have too little. The concept was to partner with corporate companies and charities to enable the supply and delivery of essential everyday items such as clothing, bedding, toiletries, nappies etc… to those who are in great need both in the UK and around the world.

Fast forward to 2023 and Goods for Good have over 200 corporate partners including The Dune Group, NEXT RETAIL LIMITED, UNIQLO, My 1st Years and over 150 Charity partners helping them to provide, to date almost £50 million worth of goods to over 4.3 million people in more than 26 countries. This equates to over 1,530 tonnes of goods that would otherwise have been destined for landfill or incineration.

We are Acuity have been supporting Goods for Good in many different ways, from attending their annual Spring Quizzes to donating computer equipment. We’ve also been working on a branding and positioning project for them and we will continue to support as much as we can.
