Just before Christmas We Are Acuity recorded its latest Talking Local Marketing Podcast, this time on #Funerals. I’m delighted to announce it’s available today on Apple, Spotify and Google!
The Funeral sector is a firm favourite of ours, something we would never have expected to be saying 5 years ago. But it’s true!
As they say, ‘if you know, you know’. This really is a fascinating, caring, and proud industry to be working in. Hugely important to everyone, no matter their demographic, culture or creed. Full of lovely people and contrary to what many may imagine, it’s also a really fun place to work.
What brought us to the sector?
Well, because local marketing and brand activation is vital in this hugely competitive sector.
You can’t just sit back and wait for people to turn up, as a brand you need to present yourself as a cornerstone of a local community, whatever that community looks like. So, when the time comes you are there to support them. That is We Are Acuity’s bread and butter and something we love supporting brands with, whatever their sector.
On the podcast I’m joined ‘talking local’ by Helen Bradshaw, good friend of We Are Acuity and highly accomplished Portfolio Marketing Director previously with Dignity Plc and Simply Cremations.
Also joining is another good friend of ours, Debbie Avens, Director and Founder of Avens Marketing and The Funeral Marketing Club, who has over 13 years of working in the sector for local funeral homes and national funeral brands.
What a panel!
In just over 30 minutes we discuss the very real challenges you may experience whether marketing local funeral homes or national funeral brands. We discuss:
· How changing attitudes brings new choices and new opportunities.
· Where local marketing can increase engagement and connection with communities.
· When inspiring storytelling can improve visibility, inform and demystify.
· Using tone of voice and brand consistency to build trust.
If you are working in Funerals in a Sales, Marketing, Brand or Procurement capacity, and are struggling with driving your business, you’ll want to hear what we have to say. Not only will you discover how common your challenges are, but you’ll also gain some great ideas on how to tackle them. We'd love to hear what you think.
