My first 3 months at We Are Acuity.

When I saw the advert on LinkedIn for ‘Digital Campaign Manager’ at We Are Acuity I jumped at the chance. As someone who lives and breathes design and social media, I knew this was going to be my dream role.

During my interview, Peter said something to me that really stuck with me, “we hire good people, then we train them.”

So I was so delighted when I was offered the job and given the chance to join something exciting! The first 3 months have flown by.

From the get-go, my first two weeks were very organised and well thought out. I learned The Acuity Way, got to know the team, processes and clients.

Acuity is big on training, so I fully embraced learning as much as I possibly could. I quickly got hands on with client work. To date, I’ve launched numerous digital campaigns on behalf of clients (Facebook/Instagram advertising, PPC and GDN) and generated some great results!

I’ve also worked closely with our design team to create Digital Audits for our brands and their local partners too.

There’s still lots to learn, but that’s the great thing about We Are Acuity, they help and encourage any training so you can be the best at your job.

I’ve been trusted to take on the responsibility of owning the We Are Acuity Facebook and Instagram pages, ensuring we have well-thought-out content posted on a weekly basis. As part of this activity I have created a social media strategy for the agency until the end of the year.

I work a hybrid week with two days working from home and three days in the office. The flexibility is great and ensures as a new starter I’ve had lots of time with the team as well as the trust to work remotely.

I like the balance of both, when I’m WFH, I can really get my head down on certain projects and when I’m in the office, it’s lovely to see my teammates in real life, have a catch up over a cuppa, play a game of pool, as well as working of course!

The support from the team has been amazing especially when I needed to take some time out for a medical condition. Mike, Graham and Peter were fully supportive and now I’m back ready to get stuck in again! I even received a completely unexpected get well e-card from the team, which shows what a great bunch of people they are and that I get the pleasure to work with.
