The UK Restaurant market is set to return to 94% of its 2019 value. Are you ready to benefit?

According to Lumina Intelligence - Food & Drink the UK Restaurant market is expected to grow turnover by +43% in 2022, to a value of £18.6 billion by 2025. This despite price hikes in food, energy, a dampened economic outlook, as well as low consumer confidence, according to the Lumina Intelligence UK Restaurant Market Report 2022 released this week.

According to the new report, branded restaurant outlet growth is expected to be positive for the first time since 2017. Up 2.3% to a total of 4,067 outlets, aided by more affordable sites and use of the franchise model to enable more ambitious expansion.

So, is your brand ready to capitalise on these predicted opportunities for growth? Managing the rapid expansion of a national network can be a challenge at the best of times, but in this instance, you will also be wrestling with a backdrop of increased costs, recruitment, and supply problems as well as a weak economic outlook.

So, what can give your brand a real edge in this fight for recovery? Well, having the vision and infrastructure to support your outlets by providing relevant, consistent branded materials that suit your local restaurants, cafeterias, cafés, fast-food joints, pubs, delis, or canteens is a great starting point and has multiple benefits.

Not only will it ensure the customer experience is consistent and the brand promise is delivered, you will also engage your local outlets in your marketing plans, raising local brand awareness and increasing the footprint of your campaigns, offers and promotions.

By having the ability to concentrate marketing activities within a precise local service area, your outlets can elevate chances that communications will yield response, whether through increased traffic in the store, or increased ordering by telephone or online.

How do you do that? To answer that question, We Are Acuity’s first podcast 'Successful Brand implementation and activation in the Food & Beverage sector.' With Simon Esner FIH FIoDChristopher G. BrownRachel McDowell and Peter Cronin is released today on Spotify and Apple Music. If you are in Food & Beverage or Hospitality it will be 30 mins well spent.
