Local places need stability to thrive.

Local places need stability to thrive. Yesterday’s Spending Review promises funding, housing and infrastructure.

As Rt Hon Rachel Reeves put it, its purpose is “to ensure that renewal is felt in people’s everyday lives, in their jobs, and on their high streets.”

After a tough few years, this feels like it could open some important doors:

✅ Multi-year funding certainty for councils

✅ Housing investment to spark local growth

✅ Transport projects that connect communities better

✅ Opportunities for business and public sector collaboration

Is this a genuine turning point for local business, community and connection? Is this the good news we've all been looking for?

Reeves insists that no tax rises will be needed to fund these commitments, but as ever, delivery will be key.
