I was proud to attend the Watford Business Connect event this month, where a significant milestone for our local business community was unveiled, the Watford Business Pledge.

This initiative, championed by the Watford Borough Council, is designed to foster social responsibility and sustainable practices within our local business ecosystem.

The launch saw three forward-thinking businesses; We Are Acuity, Regal, & Berkeley Group Plc sign up as the first adopters of the pledge.

This initiative marks a pivotal step towards a more collaborative and responsible business environment in #Watford.

It encourages businesses of all sizes to engage in practices that support local employment, sustainable supply chains, good business ethics, environmental stewardship, and community support. It's all about acting global but thinking local!

The Watford Business Pledge is accessible to all businesses, regardless of size, underscoring the council’s commitment to promoting a thriving, responsible business community.

Our participation alongside Regal, a leading property developer known for enhancing local neighbourhoods like The Claredon, and Berkeley Group, a prominent homebuilder known for sustainable projects like its local Eight Gardens, highlights the diversity of Watford's local enterprises.

The Business Connect event itself was a remarkable platform that showcased the strength of our vibrant business community.

With an insightful overview of the local property market by Lambert Smith Hampton, the event celebrated everything that's great about Watford and provided invaluable insights and networking opportunities.

Valued supporter of We Are Acuity, Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, "I'm really pleased that We Are Acuity, alongside Berkeley Group and Regal, have signed the Watford Business Pledge. This pledge supports good business practices, job opportunities, environmentally friendly spaces, and much more."

He also congratulated newly opened The Clarendon Works, who hosted the event, with its state-of-the-art workspace facilities and excellent environmental rating as a testament to Watford's ongoing economic success. It's a great place to work Epson UK Ltd & Allwyn UK!
