As BYD established itself in the UK, it needed a rational product touchpoint that made complex pricing and specification information easy to understand for retail customers, fleet drivers, press, influencers and BYD’s retailer network. Challenge

  • BYD was a newer entrant to the UK market and needed to build confidence and clarity quickly.
  • Models are highly specified, creating complexity for customers comparing trims and options.
  • Updates are little and often, meaning content must be fast to update without losing accuracy.
  • Existing materials were not optimised for digital viewing and did not reflect the brand experience BYD wanted.

Insight

In automotive, customers buy with emotion, but they decide with clarity. The rational guide works hardest when it is designed for digital consideration, reduces friction in comparing versions, and stays current through a repeatable update process.

Solution

We produce interactive digital guides that combine structured data clarity with engaging, trackable content, including:

  • Clear pricing tables and disclaimers designed for confident decision making
  • Embedded video and trackable calls to action, including social links
  • Dynamic presentation of colours and options
  • A distribution model built around a single, always current destination, using a shareable URL and a QR code that always opens the latest version

Results

  • Delivered nine new model guides in 18 months, supported by an ongoing programme of updates as pricing and specifications changed.

  • Delivered guides that support launches and campaigns, including an accelerated two week turnaround for a major 2025 launch moment at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

  • Strong early engagement on key guides. For example, Dolphin Surf delivered 397 QR scans, 1,500 users, 1m 55s average engagement, and 51,000 interactions, without a coordinated promotional programme in place, indicating significant upside once activated.
